We are very glad to announce the launch of the Linx 4900 two-line printer. Like all printers in the Linx range, the Linx 4900 has been designed with reliability in mind, ensuring users will benefit from low cost of ownership.

The most striking feature of the Linx 4900 is its tough and curvaceous stainless steel enclosure; it looks good and, more importantly, liquid runs easily off the printer; there are no dirt traps, so it is ideal for food, pharmaceutical and washdown environments. The Linx 4900 has a best in class IP55 rating. This means that, as well as meeting the requirements for washdown, the printer also works reliably in almost any production environment without the cost and other disadvantages associated with factory air. In addition, ink and solvent refilling are mistake proof and mess free.

The new Linx 4900 incorporates many of the much valued functions and features of other CIJ printers in the Linx range. The robust, sealed print head protects critical components from risk of damage or mis-adjustment that could affect print quality. The mistake proof Linx design ensures that the user never needs to open the enclosure. Running parameters are automatically adjusted and the printer provides clear on-screen diagnostics. The simple, menu-driven screens give fast access to all printer functions. The bright, clear screen, full size keyboard, and WYSIWYG message display mean that messages can be created, selected, edited and printed right first time.

Storage of up to 50 messages is possible with the Linx 4900 and a message preview screen makes message selection easy and mistake-free. Logos and graphics can be printed and there is a wide range of ready-to-use date, time, sequential number and shift coding formats to choose from.

Another valuable function is the printer’s auto power down. Operators can simply press a single button at the end of the working shift; the printhead valve system and full autoflush facility automatically cleans the printhead before it powers down. This eliminates the inconvenience of waiting for the machine to shut down or the risk of switching off the printer too soon. The result is that the Linx 4900 delivers reliable and trouble-free start-ups even if it has been turned off for long periods.

The Linx 4900’s unique intelligent jet control system continuously measures and controls the jet speed at the printhead to maintain ink viscosity and therefore print quality. The printer measures temperature, time of flight of ink droplets and ink pressure to ensure optimum jet control, making automatic adjustments – with no need for user intervention.
